Integrative Counselling Exeter and Online

Navigate life's depths with compassionate support

Welcome to Deep Blue Counselling

I work with adults (18+) seeking individual counselling, offering both in-person sessions in Exeter and online support via Zoom. As a BACP registered therapist, I provide integrative counselling that draws on a range of approaches which allows me to tailor our work to your unique needs, whether you're looking for short-term support through a specific challenge or longer-term exploration of deeper issues. I specialise in supporting those recovering from narcissistic abuse, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and highly sensitive people, but welcome anyone seeking a compassionate space to explore their inner world. My integrative counselling approach draws mainly from Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

The Healing Power of Being Heard

Counselling is like having a compassionate companion as you explore the vast ocean of your inner world. It's a collaborative relationship where you're invited to speak openly about whatever's troubling you, without judgement or pressure. Together, we create a confidential space where you can explore your experiences, feelings, and patterns.

Unlike talking with friends or family, counselling offers professional support focused entirely on you and your needs. Sometimes it involves working through difficult emotions, other times it's about discovering strengths and resources that have been buried and forgotten. The process isn't always comfortable, but it opens up possibilities for genuine transformation and growth that might otherwise remain unexplored.

Issues Counselling Can Help With

Counselling can support you through many of life's challenges, from everyday stresses to profound life changes and deeper psychological wounds. Many clients come to counselling for help with anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, work stress, or life transitions. Others seek support with low self-esteem, identity questions, or finding meaning and purpose.

My practice offers particular depth in three specialist areas. If you're recovering from narcissistic abuse or antagonistic relational stress, I provide a space where your experiences are believed and validated, helping you rebuild your sense of self and establish healthy boundaries. For LGBTQIA+ individuals, I offer an affirming environment to explore identity, relationships, and societal challenges. And if you're a highly sensitive person, I understand the unique gifts and challenges of deep emotional processing, helping you navigate a world that often misunderstands your natural sensitivity.

My Location

My practice is based in Exeter, which is accessible from Topsham, Exmouth, Crediton, Dawlish, Teignmouth and the surrounding areas of Devon. The counselling space offers a quiet, private environment where we can work together without distraction.

Exeter is well-connected by public transport, with regular bus services throughout the city and rail connections to nearby towns. If you're driving, there are several public car parks within walking distance of my practice.

For clients who prefer not to travel or live further afield, I also offer online sessions via Zoom, providing the same quality of therapeutic support from the comfort of your own space.
